Updated version of Snapr for iPhone
In this version we have tested and fixed for iOS4, and yes the camera roll scroll position bug is gone!
We have also switched to oAuth, a more secure authentication method for connecting with Twitter.
For this reason alone we would highly recommend updating ASAP.. Twitter may be shutting off the older “basic” authentication very soon.
Now you can also link your account with Twitter via our website. This is cool because on the website you can import your profile and avatar from Twitter, and once you link via the website you won’t need to login again via the app.
Shifting to iOS4 has stalled our plans for a more feature rich update, but that is coming soon we promise!
Unfortunately in iOS4 our workaround for getting/saving the geotags from existing camera roll photos no-longer works. Apple will be allowing developers better access to these features in 4.1, so hopefully with our next update this situation will be improved.
Of course any images that you upload via Snapr as you take them will have the correct location and date stamp - but unfortunately you won’t be able to upload a photo you took two weeks ago and expect it to show up with its original info for that place / time.
A bit of a pain and we really hope Apple will improve this situation as they have said.
Enjoy the new app folks, and get tweeting from Snapr, help people find their way through to our lovely new site!
